What is Coaching?
Here is my “scientific” definition:
“Coaching is a process based on structured conversations that aims to facilitate a reflective journey in order to help you get from where you are to where you want to be.”
In other words:
Coaching sessions are like a mini-holiday for the mind. I bet it is during or just after holidays that you usually feel the most determined to tackle things and make changes, as you have been able to gain some clarity and energy. But most of the time routine traps us all back into what we know. One-to-one coaching offers the opportunity to inject mini-holidays for your mind into your busy, everyday life. In fact, one of the things all of my coachees say they appreciate most about coaching is that it allows them to have that dedicated time and space to take a step back. As a result, they are able to gain deep insights and focus, reinforce their commitment to changes they want to bring about and determine a concrete action plan to achieve their goals. As your coach, I will act as your thinking partner and hold you accountable. No “I wanna do X” but nothing happens after a few weeks because no one but you knew about it and checks on the progress. Coaching is a great way to see results, to work through obstacles, figure things out and make things happen. If you are determined to make career happiness happen for you, why not book a non-obligation sample session with me (1 hour @ £20)? After all, coaching is best experienced live rather than explained.
